Nicolas CASSART

Nicolas Cassart, who was called to the bar in 2002, joined Cabinet Farthouat Avocats as a staff lawyer in 2002 and became a partner in January 2013. He mainly works in the fields of criminal and commercial law, developing expertise through handling criminal cases in business and the health sector often involving international and cross-border issues, supporting his clients through the pre-litigation and litigation phases before the criminal and disciplinary courts and helping to defend legal entities and individuals in cases such as the “oil for food” scandal, the Paris-Munich rail disaster, the growth hormones affair, the Mahé case, the UNMRIFEN case and the Paris city council fictitious jobs affair. He regularly assists health professionals, notably pharmacists, with their criminal defence. In the fields of commercial and property law, Nicolas assists his clients with drafting contracts and commercial leases and defends them in the courts, notably advising a major welfare protection group.
Nicolas is a member of the Association des Avocats Pénalistes and the European Criminal Bar Association. While training as an advocate he was assistant to Mr Yves Jobart, deputy public prosecutor at the Supreme Court commercial division. He has a postgraduate diploma in criminal law and procedure awarded by Université Aix Marseille III. His working languages are French, English and Spanish.
